Cliff Secord

The Mundane World

Cliff Secord is a stunt pilot. He flies planes and his friend “Peevy” Peabody works on them along with him.

The Call To Adventure

While Cliff is piloting a new aircraft, he is caught in the middle of a gunfight between mobsters and the FBI. His plane is shot and he crash lands on the field. When he goes back to the hangar, he finds a stolen prototype jetpack.

Crossing The Threshold

Cliff puts on the jetpack to save his friend in an air-show, even though Peevy warns him not to because of the tests they’ve done.

The Path of Trials

Now dubbed “The Rocketeer”, Cliff sets events in motion that cause his girlfriend to be captured by Neville Sinclair, a Nazi spy who is doubling as an actor in Hollywood. He wants the jetpack so the Nazis can use it to take over other countries.

Cliff gives the jetpack to Neville Sinclair and saves Jenny. Neville didn’t know that the jetpack was damaged and as soon as he took off, it blew up.

Master of Two Worlds

Cliff masters the two worlds by saving his girlfriend and giving up being the Rocketeer for the time being. He understands that he can’t have those two things in his life at the same time. He knows what’s important and he isn’t going to take those things for granted anymore.
