Professor Xavier

The Mundane World

Professor Xavier is a powerful mutant who can read, influence and control minds. He grows up with his mom, stepdad, and stepbrother. He is very intelligent and is one of the world’s leading minds on genetic mutations.

The Call To Adventure

While traveling around the world after leaving the army, he meets Shadow King, an evil mutant who rivals his powers.

Crossing The Threshold

Professor Xavier decides to protect the world from evil mutants and safeguard innocent mutants from humans who want to hurt them. This decision comes after he is nearly killed by Shadow King.

The Path of Trials

Professor Xavier meets Magneto, a Holocaust survivor. Although they become friends, they have opposing views on the relationships between humans and mutants. Magneto believes that humans will not accept mutants. He also believes that mutants are superior and should rule over humans. Magneto continually challenges Xavier’s views and methods towards getting humans and mutants to live together in peace.

Xavier loses the use of his legs early on when they are crippled by another mutant. This causes him to be confined to a wheelchair. A couple of times his legs are healed, but only to revert back to having to use the wheelchair again.

He also is the leader of the X-men for awhile and they are the main way he can get his philosophy of human and mutant coexistence across to others.

Master of Two Worlds

Professor Xavier’s journey isn’t done, but he has learned many things along the way. He continues trying to obtain his dream of humans and mutants living together peacefully. He isn’t perfect, but he truly believes that someday mutants and humans can live together in harmony.
